Background Information
Before I became a qualified counsellor, I gained over 20 years of professional experience
in the area of advice and support services. I therefore
came to counselling with a solid background of experience, knowledge and understanding about the issues we sometimes have
to face in our lives, and the ways in which they affect us.
My qualifications: BA(Hons) Psychology, Post-Graduate Certificate in Supervision, Advanced Diploma in Integrative
Counselling (BACP Accredited), Certificate in Counselling, Transactional Analysis 101, qualification in Social Care (P.C.S.C.),
and training in Family Therapy. I am a member of the BACP and hold enhanced CRB clearance. I am currently the programme
co-ordinator for the Exeter branch of the West Country Association of Counselling (WAC), a professional development group
of counsellors and psychotherapists.
I am an accredited member of the BACP, and registered with the UKRCP.
Alongside
my private practice, I am a lecturer at the Iron Mill Institute in Exeter, who provide professional counselling training.
